Educational visit of students of Junior High School "Spasoje Raspopović"

As part of the celebration of the World Day of Safety and Health at Work, the Institute for Standardization had the honor to host the students of "Spasoje Raspopović" Junior High School on April 24, 2023 with Professor Mirjana Kavaja in the premises of the Institute.

During the educational visit, the students had the opportunity to learn about the activities of the Institute through the presentation of Mrs. Vesna Vulić, responsible for the Department of Safety, Environmental Protection, Health and Medical Equipment. Through interactive communication with those present, there were talks about standardization, standards and the benefits of their application. Special attention was paid to standards in the field of health, ie. to the standard MEST ISO 45001:2018 Occupational health and safety management systems - Requirements with instructions for use. The importance of this topic for the entire society was also presented through short animated video materials. The students received a translated ISO brochure about the specified standard, which was also delivered to the school in electronic form for the needs of student education.

During the visit, the students toured the premises of the Institute, got acquainted with the business organization and thanked for the warm welcome and the opportunity to gain new knowledge.
