Round table on the topic: "Certification in the field of construction products - standards for concrete/aggregate-asphalt".

Organized by the Institute for Standardization of Montenegro at the Hilton Hotel, April 21, 2023. a round table was organized on the topic: "Certification in the field of construction products - standards for concrete/aggregate-asphalt".
This event is organized within the IPA Project funded by the EU IPA Annual Action Program for 2020. It is implemented by the EPRD consortium with the aim of supporting the development of further administrative capacity and the degree of compliance with the EU acquis in the area of competitiveness and innovation, especially in the areas of services, standardization, accreditation, competition and state aid, which enables Montenegro to meet the criteria for accession to the relevant negotiating chapters.

The round table began with an introductory presentation by the representative of the Institute for Standardization of Montenegro, Ms. Ljiljana Šoškić, a leading standardization engineer in the field of construction. Ms. Šoškić introduced the attendees to the basic information about the IPA Project and the Institute's activities related to the topic of this event.

In the role of presenter at the round table was also Mr. Janez Furlan, independent consultant, expert in quality infrastructure (Republic of Slovenia). The moderator at the round table was prof. Dr. Miloš Knežević (Faculty of Civil Engineering), while the panelists were representatives of the Ministry of Ecology, Spatial Planning and Urbanism - Mrs. Svetlana Vuksanović, Faculty of Civil Engineering - Prof. Dr. Radmila Sinđić Grebović, Administration for Inspection Affairs - Mrs. Marina Janković, manufacturers of construction products EUROMIX BAR - Mrs. Gordana Milić.

The aim of the round table was to raise awareness of the importance of the application of standards that ensure quality, improving international trade by removing technical obstacles, as well as the application of standards for the certification of construction products, which is currently current in our country. The purpose of certification of construction products is to provide all interested parties with the assurance that the product meets the specific requirements prescribed by the standards.
