World Blood Donor Day | June 14

World Blood Donor Day is celebrated on June 14 and aims to thank blood donors around the world and create wider public awareness of the need for regular, unpaid blood donation, as well as raise awareness of the need for safe blood and blood products for transfusion. It is also necessary to emphasize the key contribution of voluntary blood donors to national health systems, to support national blood transfusion services and blood donation organizations, as well as other non-governmental organizations in strengthening and expanding their programs.

This year's World Blood Donor Day campaign is "Blood Donation is an Act of Solidarity. Join the Effort and Save Lives.", through which it seeks to spread various media stories of people whose lives were saved by donating blood in order to motivate regular blood donors to continue donating blood, as well as people in good health who have never given blood to start doing so.

Your commitment and support will help ensure greater impact for World Blood Donor Day 2022, increasing recognition around the world that donating blood is a life-saving act of solidarity and that providing safe blood and blood products is an essential element of any health system. The participation of interested partners is welcome at all levels to make World Blood Donor Day 2022 a global success.
